Amazon Woman's Tidbits: |
Tidbit #0 : Everything you roll off of the Dice Server, must also be sent to me. The main things I want are your stats and your starting money. You roll 4d6 (drop the lowest roll), 8 times. these you will place on Strength, Speed, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Will, Charisma, and Perception. You can do this *twice*, so you can pick the best of the two possible group of stats. I also want a roll of a 1d4, which will be your Renown (percentage of people who have heard of your hero's exploits) and you only roll it once. Starting gold is 3d6 and then multiply that by 100 to get how much gold pieces you start off with. There are minimum stat requirements for many of the classes, but we'll get to that when you pick a class.
Tidbit #1 : All starting characters (first level), start at maximum hitpoints and there is a system to determin hitpoints by how good your CON is, plus how skilled you are in the fighting arts. The DM knows what to do, don't you worry..
Tidbit #2 : If you are completely at a loss for a background for your character, the DM has a lot of tables you can roll on.
Tidbit #3 : No Evil alignments allowed. No Chaotic Neutrals either.
Tidbit #4 : Unlike AD&D, you can play a barbarian and also have a mage in the party at 1st level. Barbarians aren't quite as paranoid in Arcanum. *grin*
Tidbit #5 : As for now (may change later) assassins and necromancers are not classes available in this world.
Tidbit #6 : There are no psionics. Begging, pleading or groveling will not change my mind on that fact.
Tidbit #7 : I have taken Ambidexterity off of the proficiency list. If you want to know if your character is ambidextrous, you need to go to the Irony Dice Server. Roll one d20 and one d6, sending the results to you and I. If the number on the d20 is higher than the number on the d6, you are right handed. If the number on the d20 is lower than the number on the d6, you are left handed. If the numbers come out the same, you are ambidextrous.
Tidbit #8 : The only halfbreeds are the half Elves, but no half-dark Elves. :p
Tidbit #9 : There are no kit classes, but there are a large amount of classes to pick from, so no worries ... we can probably find something that will fit the notion of your character.
Tidbit #10 : There will be more Tidbits as time passes and any advice or questions are welcome.
